We had a great retreat Saturday. Six participants learned ways to hone attention skills with curiosity, compassion and courage.
We talked about how it is the mind’s natural state is to wander and how we can teach it to attend to a selected point of focus by practicing mindfulness.
After practicing, we noticed the busy-ness of our minds, the ways in which we experience stress in our mind and body, and our reaction to mental fatigue.
Finally, we discussed strategies for incorporating more mindfulness practice into our everyday, hectic lives.
